About
I have been in the library field since 2019. Most of my time was spent in Workforce Development and teaching technology classes. I have experience creating user-friendly and responsive web pages using HTML, CSS and Bootstrap. Check out the Portfolio section to take a look at some projects I completed.
Teaching in Schools
I have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minor in Math and shortly after became a high school math teacher. I taught in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Teaching in Libraries
After changing careers to libraries, I have been teaching basic coding classes to the public since 2019 (North and South Carolina). I have taught HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and Python classes.
Teacher to Student
Teaching these classes helped me gain an interest in the tech field. My web development journey began in 2022 when I became a student at Wake Tech. On May 4, 2024 I will graduate with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Web Development.

Here are some projects I completed during my time in the Web Development program.
Library Website Project
I created a simplified version of the website of my current employer for the final project. I used Bootstrap for this project. This project was completed in the Web 125 (Mobile Web Design) class.
Resume Builder Project
A user enters their information into the webpage, once they click "Create Resume", a formatted resume is created in a pop-up window. I completed his project using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.in the Web 115 (Web Markup and Scripting) class.
Topsail Beach Project
This is the completed Topsail Beach Project completed using Bootstrap. This is a website catered to the residents and tourists of Topsail Beach, North Carolina. This project was completed in the Web 125 (Mobile Web Design) class.
React Calculator Project
This is a calculator created using React. This was completed in the Web 215 (Advanced Markup and Scripting) class.
Vicious Cycles Project
A website created for the Vicious Cycles company. I completed this project using only HTML and CSS in the Web 140 (Web Development Tools) class.
CML Contributor Training
After a website renovation, I created a page for employees at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library (My current job) covering how to create/edit and more pages in SharePoint. FOREWORDnet is the library intranet.
